Everyone would love a glowing shiny, clear skin and look flawless all the time. Getting a clear skin is not as difficult as one would like to believe ,it just needs a few minutes a day to get the skin of your dreams. Good skincare regime and a healthy life style can help to prevent ageing and other skin problems. 5 steps for a hassle free smooth skin.

Eating a healthy diet We are what we eat and a healthy diet plays an important role in keeping skin healthy and glowing. Eating plenty of fruits ,vegetables ,whole grains adequate amount of proteins can all keep our skin healthy. Eating oily spicy food can cause acne and pimples and also lead to oily skin. Oily skin tends to attract dust and this might cause further problems. Eating a balanced diet with all the right nutrients has immense benefits ,more so for the skin. Certain citrus fruits are loaded with vitamin C which help the body to synthesise collagen, a protein that’s essential for a healthy skincare regime.. Vegetables like carrots ,broccoli and spinach are loaded with vitamin A which aids in skin’s cell growth.

Staying hydrated Water is the elixir of life and staying hydrated is necessary for over all health. The more hydrated we stay, the fewer wrinkles and fine lines we’ll see .water helps your skin to maintain moisture, which increases the skin’s elasticity. Water also helps the digestive system to flush out the toxins from the body which in turn improves the complexion. It also shrinks the pores making them less likely to clog and cause acne. It keeps the skin moist which makes it less likely to crack and become itchy. Water also helps to maintain a tight taut skin and prevents it from sagging. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water can take care of most skin issues.

Protection from the sun One of the most important ways to take care of skin is to shield it from the sun. Exposure to the sun can cause age lines, spots and also increase the risk of skin cancer. For protection from the sun one should apply a sunscreen of at least 15 spf. If one is out ,then one should generously reapply every two hours. One should try to avoid the active sun between 10am to 4pm when the sun’s rays are the strongest. One could wear protective clothing like long-sleeved shirts, hats etc to seek protection from the sun.

Managing stress Uncontrolled stress can make your skin sensitive and cause acne and other problems. To encourage healthy skin one should try to keep the stress levels under check . Getting enough sleep, meditation setting reasonable targets and making time to indulge in hobbies can all prevent stress. A healthy skin is a barometer of a good healthy mind and body.

Treating the skin gently Daily cleansing ,shaving and harsh treatments can all take a toll on the skin.one must limit bath time as hot water and long showers remove the oil from the skin and make it more dry. Men should try to lubricate their skin while shaving and also shave in the direction of hair growth and not against it. One should treat the skin with a lot of care and not touch it too often or pat it vigorously while wiping. We should also use moisturisers that suit one’s type and make it a part of our skincare routine.
